And then life changes

So it is going to be hard to go from this:

To This:

But that is our reality and blessing. Erich got an awesome job offer in Twin Falls as the helitack foreman. It is a good promotion and opportunity for Erich to run his own fire crew. The helicopter there is one of the busiest (in terms of flight time) in the nation and it should be a pretty neat experience for him. Considering the economy and the struggles of so many, we feel very fortunate to have this privilege, though it is heartbreaking to have to leave Grangeville.

So that is the true reason I have been blogging MIA. We are officially moving this Tuesday :( Life has been incredibly hectic trying to sell our house, buy a house, oh and finish our house so it is sellable!

As stressful as the past few weeks have been I mainly feel incredibly blessed at the generosity of our friends and family who have gone above and beyond to help our little family in this transition. From friends that house and feed us en route to Twin Falls, to friends that spend their Saturdays roofing our garage and mowing our yard (even cleaning up our dog's poop--now that is a real sign of friendship!) to parents who drop everything so they can come scrub our tile clean to parents who have lent us their trailer for temporary housing arrangements, we certainly feel overwhelming blessed by the kindness and generosity of friends/family.

It took me awhile to realize what a gem of a place it is here, but I LOVE Grangeville and will certainly miss it.

It is so hard to leave such a beautiful place for the desert, but I know you will find your niche in TF as well. Oh, and you get wonderful friends by BEING a wonderful friend, so know that all that love is a tribute right back to you sista.

Oh I am so happy that your house sold and things are moving along for you guys. It's rough leaving a place you've grown to love. I feel like we were in that position just a year ago. but I am sure Twin will feel like home soon. Glad you have so much good help and friends. Oh and Cute pictures!

I have to admit, that when Erich told Jeff the news I was a bit jealous, but also extremely happy for you! Twin Falls is a great place. Isn't Megan and Brian Williams around there? The Capells live there too. Congrats, and wish we could be back in Idaho!

Congrats on the new job!! Glad to hear that things are falling into place with a new house in Twin. Hopefully we'll get to see you guys more often since you'll be so much closer to Malad. You'll have to share all of your house hunting tips with us.

Congrats, but I bet you are a little sad. You put SO much work into fixing that house up so awesome. I hope that selling it worked out well for you! One thing I've learned is that there's something great about everywhere you go! Good Luck

Tell Erich congrats! That sounds like an awesome job. Have you sold your house? I bet that will be hard to leave after all the work you put into it. At least now you will be a little closer to us!! We can't wait to see you guys too.

Thank heavens Brew is a girly blog hopper or I would have no clue what is going on in your life. Congrats and sorry all in the same breathe. After seeing those picturesque photos of Grangeville, I can see why you love it. Best wishes!
