Family...if only we lived closer!

Unfortunately my family is spread out enough that we don't get to see each other often. So last week I was really excited that I got to get together for a short visit with my dad, and my brother and his very cute boys. Leyton (chuck's youngest son) is exactly one year older than Jake, and Aiden (Chuck's oldest son) is 3 years than Jake so it's fun to see what fun we are in for! Anyhow we had a great time swimming and getting spoiled by my dad who treated us to McKenzie River pizza, which for the record is the BEST pizza joint ever! The other excitement of the week was trying desperately to get Jake to eat food. It has turned into quite the battle, the kid just does NOT want anything to do with baby food. At least he's darn cute as he spits all his food out!

Oh my! I have been slacking at blogging. You have a lot of new posts! Seriously, I think that there are more pictures of you guys outdoors than in. That is soooo great. We really need to get out more. I love all the pictures and glad you got to spend some time with family. My parents just left after being here for a whole week. It was great to have the help. Jake is as cute as ever. Sorry that he doesn't like the baby food. My girls love to eat so it wasn't as hard for them. Just keep at it. You guys seem like great parents, as I knew you would be! :)

sounds like you had a great time with family- I always wish that we live closer. Jacob is quite the handsome model on the bed in his diaper. Did he take a dip in the pool? Someone gave Rhone the cutest swim shorts, and it's so warm here, that we're excited to give it a try. Hope that that Jacob decides real food is amazing soon- maybe if he tried some Mackenzie River Pizza he would change his mind ;) I've eaten there a few times, but only ordered sandwiches- so we'll have to take your word for it

What a fun time. It is alwyas nice being able to be with family. Chuck is looking good. Mr. Buff! I am sure that your dad had lots of fun with the grandkids.

Glad you were able to be with family for a bit. I agree, with the favorite pizza. As far as getting Jacob to eat, well, some babies just like it thicker, or you could try those Graduate puffs, Grace loves those. Some babies just don't do babyfood though and move right onto the big kid stuff. Who knows...good luck!

I don't think he should eat food... it looks much cuter on the outside of him.

Too funny! Messy baby pictures are cute. Enjoy it while it's cute little guy!! Nathan hasn't like food too much either! Kennedy would eat anything!!! For awhile there I couldn't check your blog, so I am happy to be able to peak at what you are up to!

Have you tried sweet potatoes! Ha ha! Nathan won't eat anything unless it has southern sweet potatoes in it! We are raising a true southern boy! Good luck! I could definitely commensurate about this with you!
