Family Fun

Erich's brother Ben is in the air force and lives in Mississippi, but he and his wife came to Idaho to bless their little son, Rhone, who was born 5 weeks ago. So this weekend Erich, Jake and I headed to Malad Idaho for a whirlwind family get together. It was Erich's idea of an ideal vacation. The first day we got there we went shooting, then sledding, then coyote shooting (where his shooting wasn't quite as impressive!). On Sunday Erich's sister came up with her adorable four kids. It was great introducing Jake to his new cousins. I am sure they will be great buds here soon. Anyhow it was a lot of driving but a whole lot of fun, if only we lived closer to our families so we could do this more often!

Lovin' the Winter

WINTER CARNIVAL IN MCCALL

This weekend we went with the Petersens to McCall to enoy the Winter Carnival. For those of you who haven't heard of it before, throughout the town they have huge snow/ice sculptures and then a bunch of different winter games. The theme this year was fantasy so there were a ton of dragons and haunted forests and sculptures like that. It was pretty impressive the things people can do with a mound of snow/ice.

We lucked out because it was a beautiful sunny day. Of course we coudn't go to McCall without enjoying a little snow adventure so we all went snowshoeing close to McCall lake. Very gorgeous!
